A sarape is a long, brightly-colored shawl worn by the people of Mexico.Traditionally, sarapes were made near the city of Saltillo in north-eastern Mexico. The Saltillo sarapes and blankets are of a dark brown or black, banded with yellow, orange, red, blue, green, purple or other bright colors.The ends are usually fringed.
