Quick and Easy Bunny Cake

This delectable delight is almost too cute to eat, but too irresistible not to!

You'll need to purchase the bunny cake pan which is available at Michael's.

Materials:

  • Wilton® Bunny Pan
    Cooling Grid
    Icing Colors: Black, Rose
    Spatula
    Disposable Decorating Bags
    Rolling Pin
    Cake Board
    Fanci-Foil Wrap
  • Buttercream Icing Recipe 
  • Favorite Cake Recipe
  • Jelly Beans
  • Black Shoestring Licorice
  • Taffy (not salt water taffy)
  • Cornstarch

 

Directions:    

Bake and cool cake.

Knead taffy to soften, roll out thin and cut to fit inside of ears (use pan as a pattern). Set aside.

 

     Use tip 3 and black icing to pipe in mouth (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).

 

     Use tip 3 and pink icing to pipe in tongue (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).

 

     Build up muzzle area of cake with icing; spatula ice remainder of cake.

 

     Use tip 3 and black icing to pipe in eyes (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).

 

     Cut jelly bean in half horizontally and position for nose.

 

     Position taffy ears.

 

     Cut licorice to 3-inch lengths and insert in muzzle for whiskers.
